JaGUN fired in elections at Kadapa

YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy Friday retained the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat with a record majority of over 500,000 votes. The son of late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy won with a majority of 543,053 votes.

But apart from the impromptu celebrations ofJagan's victory in the Kadapa bypoll, Hyderabadis in general put a question mark on whether Jagan's roar would be heard across the state or would it remain restricted to the geographical limits of Kadapa or at best Rayalaseema region.

Several others too felt Jagan's victory in Kadapa is not indicative of his hold on the entire state. They said he could emerge as a voice from Rayalaseema region just like his father but may be unable to cut ice in other regions, particularly Telangana. "Also, what we saw on Friday was Jagan's victory in one seat.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket competition in India. It is administrated by BCCI with it's headquarters at Mumbai. It started it 2008 after BCCI had an altercation with ICL. When it started there are eight teams and this year two more new teams were added. The format they follow is double round robin and knockout. So far three tournaments occured and this year's event being the fourth one.

In a cricket loving country like India, the IPL is a feast to the audience. It not only entertains the audience but also provides good career options for the youngstars. There are people who give up their studies with the dream of being a part of the Indian cricket team. This tournament acts as a perfect platform for them. The players not only earn money but also have an opportunity to show case their talent. The IPL is given great importance by the selectors in selecting the international team. The youngstars get great experience as they not only play with their heros but also the great players all over the world. This helps them a lot when they play for their country as players gain confidence and courage throught this tournament.

Not only INDIAN domestic players are getting benefits, even players from different countries are being benefited and getting the fame. Best example for this statement is Shane Watson and Shaun Marsh.

Yesterday YSR, 2day Khandu..

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who went missing on Saturday on a flight from Tawang, is dead along with four others after their helicopter crashed in bad weather in the mountains. The Chief Minister was returning to the Arunachal Pradesh capital Itanagar from Tawang when the helicopter lost contact with ground control as it neared the Sela Pass. The Eurocopter B-3 went missing 20 minutes after taking off from Tawang.

This is the second death of a Chief Minister in two years after the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash in the Nallamalla ranges in the state in September 2009.Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy's Bell 430 helicopter went missing on 2 September 2009.The Indian Prime Minister's Office confirmed the helicopter's crash on the morning of 3 September and the death of all aboard.

These incidents raise many questions. Why the ministers have to fly though they are aware of the bad weather? Are the ministers not given full details about the weather and the flight conditions? Are the officials afraid to say no to a Chief Minister's decision and warn them? No matter what the reason is, the country has lost two leaders. Hope the officials pay more attention to these things from the next time.

May their souls rest in peace.
